DOHA, Qatar (March 19, 2016) – Wyndham Grand Regency Doha is proudly participating in the Earth Hour global initiative by turning their lights down and promoting “Dinner in the dark” experience. During Earth Hour, individuals, businesses, and governments around the world turn out their lights to demonstrate their commitment to environmentally sustainable action.
To recognize earth hour, Wyndham Grand Regency Doha took the guests to an unforgettable ride since they arrived at the door by the “dinner in the dark” experience inside Tangia restaurant, where they have their dinner without sight, so the other senses are heightened. Smells textures and sounds all become more intense.
“Earth Hour is a great opportunity to raise awareness of global climate change and sustainability issue,” says Cluster General Manager, Ayman Lotfy. “And, while turning off lights can be a challenge for a busy hotel with hundreds of guests, we believe the hospitality industry can and should be a leader in reducing our impact on the environment.”
