The Thai Food Festival Week, which runs from April 23 to 28, 2013, is organized by the Wyndham Grand Regency Doha in conjunction with the Royal Thai Embassy and is held to celebrate Thai national food and culture.
Playing host to a delightful collection of mouthwatering Thai food was the hotel’s restaurant, Chopsticks. Well known in the market for its superb selection of Far Eastern cuisine, it is the only sushi restaurant in Doha and a firm favorite for families, especially on Thursdays and Saturdays when visitors can enjoy an open buffet.
“Thai Food Festival Week at Wyndham Grand Regency Doha is a joyful collaboration between the hotel and the Royal Thai Embassy to celebrate Thai culture through food,” said executive chef Jameel Nabtiti. “During this festival, our traditional Thai chef will introduce typical Thai dishes cooked with hand-picked spices and herbs, as Thai cuisine is well-known for its balance of five basic flavors in each dish, including hot (spicy), sour, sweet, salty and bitter. Thai food is also renowned for its enthusiastic use of fresh (rather than dried) herbs and spices as well as fish sauce.”
Visitors are welcome to sample the menu at Chopsticks during the festival week for a promotional price of only QR 149 per person.
