DOHA, Qatar (January 28, 2013) – Wyndham Grand Regency Doha this week held an employee engagement event called “ResponsibALL Day,” bringing staff members from various different departments and levels of seniority within the hotel together to experience a day in the life of the housekeeping team.
In line with the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts ‘Count On Me!’ service culture in which each associate strives to be responsive, be respectful and deliver great experiences to guests, business associates, local communities and each other alike, the event allowed each member of staff to see the hotel through the eyes of another, as well as to contribute ideas and suggestions to further enhance the guest experience.
“At Wyndham Grand Regency Doha, we decided to kick-start our 2013 employee engagement programme by capitalising on our greatest asset – our people,” said Ayman Lotfy, general manager, Wyndham Grand Regency Doha. “By allowing people the opportunity to step outside their normal roles, they are able to gain a fresh perspective. In this instance, it was that of our housekeeping department, who do a fantastic job every day.”
“The event was very successful and over 50 Wyndham Grand Regency Doha team members took part. We are delighted with the response of the staff to this exercise and will look to roll out similar activities in other departments so that every team member gets to gain new experiences and see first-hand the roles all of our associates play in providing the best possible service for our valued guests” Lotfy continued.
The Wyndham Grand Regency Doha Hotel is a 246-room hotel offering guests single, double and suite accommodation. Rooms feature a harmonious blend of traditional architecture and spectacular contemporary design alongside all the comforts and amenities to be expected from a five-star hotel.
